GET TO KNOW ME
There are so many people in the world who never have the opportunity to pursue the career they love. I’m not one of them. I love what I do and since starting my career in Glace Bay, NS, I’m thrilled to say that I’ve learned from so many trained professionals in my field. I know that I still have so much to learn from others in the Electrical industry. I am changing careers to the field of Education to bring my experience to the classroom and I am excited to learn from those who have had many more years of experience in the classroom. I’m a hard worker, a team player, and excited to see what students could benefit from my unique skill sets and experiences.

PROFESSIONAL TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
How I See my Teaching Philosophy
MAIN PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy of education is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. I will provide a safe environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks.
EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe that there are five essential elements that are conducive to learning.
The teacher's role is to act as a guide.
Students must have access to hands-on activities.
Students should be able to have choices and let their curiosity direct their learning.
Students need the opportunity to practice skills in a safe environment.
Technology must be incorporated into the school day.
Students must learn that failure isn't an option, it is a requirement for effective learning. I believe that it is essential that students fail but seek the opportunity to try for success.

I believe that all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. I will assist my students to express themselves and accept themselves for who they are, as well embrace the differences of others.
